You will find Gilbert, Arizona in the Southeast Valley, just south of Mesa, east of Chandler and north of Queen Creek.
Gilbert is a booming community that once started nearly entirely as farm land in the 1980’s with a small population of 5,000 to nearly 250,000 in 2020. Over the last 10 years since I moved here the Town of Gilbert has grown by 60,000. Gilbert shows no signs of slowing its growth anytime soon as you will still find new build communities popping up.
There are parts of Gilbert which have older established neighborhoods, but 50% of Gilbert homes were constructed after 2005 which gives Gilbert its “Newer” feel. Gilbert is desirable due to its central location, sitting just between the 60 and 202 freeway, while also remaining NEW. If you are looking for a newer home or community, but also great access to the valley, Gilbert checks all the boxes. Gilbert also has something for everyone with condos, zero lot lines, spacious lots, and horse properties. You can surely find something you are looking for that meets all of your requirements in Gilbert.
With Gilbert being a newer community, with great freeway access, so comes the slightly higher price point. While you can find homes ranging from $300k-$3 million, the median price point in Gilbert is a reasonable $420k.
Gilbert has also has some of the best retail around with San Tan Mall in the heart of Gilbert and historic Downtown Gilbert that continues to develop. You truly never have to step foot out of Gilbert and you can get absolutely you could ever want and need.
